Description:

Maverick Chicago cop Eddie Jillette (Richard Gere) heads down to New Orleans to investigate the murder of his buddy. In the process, he falls for Michel Duval (Kim Basinger) who he tries to free from the clutches of Losado, a viscous New Orleans mobster with a penchant for cutting people up with his big knife. Chase sequence occurs when Eddie forcibly takes Michel from one of Losado’s clubs with his armed henchmen in pursuit. Eddie commandeers someone’s Cadillac and the henchmen speed after them in a pick up. Chase ends as Eddie drives his vehicle off a pier.
